about

‘Lighthouse’ is the second single to be taken from the band's second forthcoming album due summer 2022.
It’s a warm, jangly, almost ballad-like song reminiscent of early 90s R.E.M./Teenage Fanclub, filled with soothing vocals and harmonies.
Sometimes the wheel doesn’t need reinventing, and in indie pop terms this wheel is round and rolling along perfectly happily in its simplicity, bathed in beautiful melodies. A band very much comfortable in their skin.

“I sometimes wake up and find myself in a fog, crippled by anxiety and self doubt. ‘Lighthouse’ is about how my wife is always able to steer me through that fog to safety and firmer ground. She has an ability to do this without even realising most of the time, just by being her sparkling self.”
- Carl Mann - Composer

lyrics

Everything that's thrown my way
Keeps me awake in the dark of the night
I go through all the endings in my head
Try to define the reason and rhyme

A sinking feeling
I need your healing

When you radiate light
It’s a window to the heart of you
A lighthouse of hope
Sending a beacon to my core

When my mind starts to lose its way
The blink of an eye, you save the day
I run around in an anxious state
Trying to breathe like I know I should

A sinking feeling
I need your healing

When you radiate light
It’s a window to the heart of you
A lighthouse of hope
Sending a beacon to my core
